How is Sleep Apnea Diagnosed?
If a patient is experiencing any of the above symptoms, and sleep apnea is suspected, we will refer you to physician who is board certified in sleep medicine for a complete medical assessment.Once sleep apnea has been diagnosed, there are a range of treatments that may be available. Treatment outside of our practice may include CPAP therapy or surgery.
Many patients may benefit from oral appliance therapy, which can be administered and treated at our dental sleep practice. This therapy is often preferred by patients because it does not require use of a CPAP mask and can be a viable alternative to surgery.
